Membership and Engagement

The Membership & Engagement Committee is dedicated to growing and strengthening the WISE Houston community by welcoming prospective members, building relationships with local companies and organizations, and sharing the value of WISE through membership outreach and presentations. Committee members also help create a welcoming experience for new and current members at chapter events, fostering meaningful connections throughout the year.

Marketing and Communications (MaC)

Chairs: Kerri Barber & Alicia Layfield

The Marketing & Communications (MaC) Committee is the voice of WISE Houston, responsible for promoting the chapter's events, programs, partnerships, and initiatives across all communication platforms. The committee develops content for social media, newsletters, the website, and other digital channels while supporting the marketing efforts for signature events, networking opportunities, and partner-hosted experiences.

Committee members help strengthen the WISE Houston brand by creating compelling communications, increasing the chapter's visibility, and showcasing the impact of WISE Houston throughout the sports and events community.

Signature Events

Chairs: Muffy King & Jennifer Lindsay

This committee coordinates WISE Houston’s four Signature Events: Speed Mentoring Roundtable, Power Play, Financial Fitness and Women of Inspiration. These events are designed to advance the WISE mission locally by creating meaningful opportunities for mentorship, professional development, networking, education, leadership visibility and recognition of women making an impact in the business of sports and events. The committee is responsible for planning and executing each event, identifying relevant speakers and programming themes, supporting attendee engagement, and seeking and securing partners to sponsor and enhance the event experience.

WISE Within

Chairs: Nina Jackson & Adrienne Saxe

The WISE Within Committee oversees our flagship mentoring program, WISE Within mentoring program, connecting mentors and mentees across the Houston market to foster meaningful professional growth and lasting relationships. Committee members recruit and select participants, facilitate mentor-mentee matching, organize networking and development opportunities, and support engagement throughout the year.

The committee also leads signature initiatives such as the Speed Mentor Roundtable and Peer Mentoring Groups, creating valuable opportunities for members to learn, connect, and advance their careers within a supportive community.
