Code of Conduct and Ethics

ARTICLE I
Preamble and Purpose

Women in Sports and Events (the "Organization") is committed to providing a welcoming, inclusive and professional environment for all members. This Code of Conduct and Ethics (this "Code") outlines the expected behaviors and standards of conduct for our members, including how we communicate, behave at events and represent ourselves and the Organization.

The Organization welcomes individuals from diverse professional backgrounds, experiences, identities and perspectives. Members are encouraged to engage in respectful dialogue, constructive collaboration and professional exchange of ideas in support of the Organization’s mission.

This Code is intended to promote professionalism, safety, respect and accountability. It is not intended to restrict lawful expression, respectful disagreement or the open exchange of ideas.

ARTICLE II
Scope

This Code applies to all Organization members, directors, officers, staff and volunteers at the national and chapter levels. It applies to conduct occurring in person, virtually and through digital communications related to Organization activities, including email, messaging platforms, virtual events and social media interactions connected to the Organization. • Organization-hosted meetings, events and conferences.
  • Online activities, member forums and official social media channels.
  • Interactions with other members, Organization personnel and third-party vendors.

If the report involves a member of leadership or presents a conflict of interest, reports may be submitted on our Contact Us page.

Reports will be reviewed promptly, fairly and as discreetly as reasonably possible under the circumstances. The Organization may gather information from relevant parties as part of its review process.

Retaliation against any individual who reports a concern in good faith or participates in a review process is strictly prohibited.

False or intentionally misleading reports may also constitute a violation of this Code.
